Japanese Mask Stamps

Another project for my Illustrator class at Aiken Tech. The assignment was to create 4 different illustrations with a theme. Around this time, the earthquake had recently hit Japan so I made these stamps. If these stamps actually existed, proceeds would go to relief efforts.

The gradient mesh tool was mostly used to sculpt the masks. References images used for the masks. Background patterns were found at Dezignus.com.

Created in Adobe Illustrator. 2011.
